At Heritage Baptist Coalition, our philosophy of missions is built on a simple but powerful conviction: the gospel is most effectively advanced through trained, national leaders who know their own culture, language, and people.

Rather than focusing primarily on sending Americans overseas, HBC exists to strengthen and support national-led ministries in developing countries—ministries that are already established and positioned for long-term impact. These leaders are able to serve immediately and effectively in ways that outside missionaries often cannot.

Traditional missions require significant time and resources before ministry even begins. It can take years for a missionary to raise support, relocate, and learn a new language and culture. Even then, ministry continuity can be disrupted when missionaries transition to new fields.

HBC takes a different approach.
We partner with a carefully vetted group of college-educated national leaders who are already serving in their own communities. They understand the culture, speak the language fluently, and are actively leading ministries with no other American supporting agency. This allows your partnership to produce immediate, sustainable, and lasting results.

A Non-Traditional, Strategic Model
HBC operates as a non-traditional mission board. Instead of sending and supporting American missionaries, our focus is to encourage, train, and support national leaders, particularly throughout Asia and other regions within the 10/40 Window.

This model is vital because much of the world remains unreached by traditional missions. Government restrictions and cultural barriers limit Western access across large portions of the Middle East and Asia. In these regions, people are far more likely to hear the gospel from someone within their own culture than from a foreign missionary.
